Join DC Web Women (DCWW) as we bring together three top digital agencies to discuss how they have successfully translated important content, data and statistics into gorgeous data visualizations – or infographics – for their clients.

According to Wikipedia, infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. Infographics are designed to present complex information quickly and clearly. The panelists will share best practices for creating infographics and answer such questions like why infographics work better for presentations as opposed to standard charts, is any data or statistics suitable to be created into an infographic and what is the difference between and infographic and an infoposter? All while discussing the process used to create designs for their award-winning work.

Panelists include:

Leslie Bradshaw – Co-founder, COO and President, JESS3

Aaron Murphy – Associate Creative Director, Ogilvy PR Digital Influence Group

Will Carroll – Principal and Founder, Geoill

ABOUT THE PANELISTS:

Leslie Bradshaw is the co-founder, COO, and President of JESS3, a company that creates visual storytelling for Fortune 100 companies, including Google, Microsoft, Intel, Samsung, and Nike. She co-founded the company when she was only 24. Leslie was recently listed as one of the Most Influential Women in Technology by Fast Company and named among DC's Tech Titans by Washingtonian Magazine. The Huffington Post listed her as one of the top women in tech you should be following on Twitter (@lesliebradshaw).

Aaron Murphy is the Associate Creative Director for Ogilvy PR Washington's Digital Influence Group. As ACD he has oversaw the design of numerous infographics and led the work for such clients as  Blue Cross Blue Shield, FEMA, FORD, and IRS.gov to name a few. He resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two daughters.

Will Carroll is Principal and Creative Director of Geoill, an innovative creative design agency that is dedicated to producing innovative creative designs that primarily focuses on infographics, animation presentations, and interactive presentations. Will believes that overly complex visuals are not always effective when explaining ideas, processes, concepts, or data. Simplified visuals are necessary to reach an audience that may not be experts in the field that is being explained. He has created visual and interactive presentations for medical companies, news agencies, broadcast corporations, and non profits.
